What does Incubator mean?

The basic goal of the Business Incubator is to offer its’ tenants multifunctional premises, in order to develop services and productions. Low rent, the esthetic look of the building and good conditions, and the opportunity to utilize all of the Business Centers’ services, can be stimulants for the firms during the period of expansion or in the beginning of their activities.

Who assists the development of the Silistra Business Incubator ?

The leader of the JOBS project and the Silistra Municipality came to the conclusion, that our city deserves to be one of the first in the country, where such an initiative is financed.
The City Council decided that the future Business Incubator would be located in the “New Bath” building, which is well-known in the town. The construction and renovation work is financed by the JOBS project and the Silistra Municipality, but the renovation of the public area around the Business Incubator is financed under the “Beautiful Bulgaria 3” project.
In order to open the building for a variety of functions, a new architectural project for reorganization was developed . The construction and renovation works were started in the beginning of September 2001. Efforts by the project team, firms, supervisors of construction, construction firms and of course, the Business Center/Business Incubator team are aiming to finish the construction process during the beginning of March 2002 and then the first tenants will have the opportunity to get settled.

How is the building reorganized?

There are 17 separate sectors, intended for tenants.

The premises in the basement have private access and are appropriate for handicrafts, services or productions, which do not need transportation of heavy equipment and no daily, intensive traffic of material and ready products.

The first floor of the Business Incubator is reorganized for homes of some former tenants in the building, but there are separate and independent premises for new activities. The former bath house, to the surprise of everyone who saw it before the renovation, provides wonderful conditions for production.

The second floor of the building raises particular interest, because of the advantage provided from its location. There are two separate sectors functional for food production. They have natural ventilation, very good lighting, but also the opportunity for the use of some of the three offices, situated on the southern side of the floor.
From the north of the middle floor to the basement are two more separate sectors for rent, which can be of interest for small scale production or services.
